Culinary nutition educator who helps teens and adults improve their relationship with food
Description: Hi! My name is Gabrielle, and I am a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) with a masters degree in nutrition science. I work as a culinary nutrition educator at a Boston-based hospital. In my private practice, I work 1:1 with adult women, non-binary folx, and teens who are ready to spend time and energy on improving their relationship with food. I grew up in Newton, Massachusetts, and experienced the loss of a parent at the age of 8. Several years later, an eating disorder ensued. Over the next two decades, learning to cook, studying nutrition, and building a mindfulness and self-compassion practice with the help of excellent professionals brought me into a peaceful relationship with food, body and myself. My own story and the suffering of others in their relationship to food and their body is what motivates me to do what I do. My philosophy is to bring together nutrition knowledge, self-awareness, and self-compassion to help my clients eat and live with greater ease. It is possible to eat in a way that is flexible, delicious, culturally relevant AND healthy, and I help my clients do just that!
